WEST WAWANOSH• A young man named Edward Mc- Mahon died at the county jail Thurs- day, Jane 4th. He had been in this country only seven months and had been working in the township of Wa- wanosh. Becoming unable to work and having no money, he applied to Wm. Bailie, J. P., who on the young man's own request, committed him to jail as a vagrant, not being able to send him to the house of refage, as he had not been a resident of this county long enough to secure admission. An inquest was opened at the jail bud com- pleted the following morning before Canner Dr. Holmes.
