This judged competition collects local art for the Huron County Art Bank and provides the oppor- tunity for local artists to dis- play their work at the Huron County Museum. Special for 2015, the County of Huron is partnering with the 2017 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo to select poster art through a people's choice award. The theme for the 2015 Huron County Art Show is "Our Creative Countryside." Please provide a short artist's statement or explanation in regards to this theme with your artwork at the time of entry. "We are looking for great community participation around this theme," said Will Kernohan, acting assistant curator. "Huron is a beautiful county to create artwork in, and we are confident the inspirational and changing landscape will influence the work that is submitted." Submitted works will also have the chance to become the official poster artwork for the 2017 International Plow- ing Match and Rural Expo. The work will be selected based on popular vote from the community, and the art- ist will worldwide exposure. The Deadline for entries is fast approaching, so be sure to submit your masterpiece soon. Submissions will be accepted at the Huron County Museum at 110 North Street, Goderich until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25. All exhibited artwork will be on public display at the Huron County Museum between October 18 and December 20.
