Shaun Gregory Huron Expositor The Huron East Fire Department was dispatched to Hullett- Mckillop Rd. for a kitchen fire that resulted in an explosion on September 15. "One of the criteria that we have to call the Ontario Fire Marshal is for an explosion and there was a small one," said fire chief and commu- nity emergency management coordinator, Marty Bedard. The blaze took approxi- mately 25 minutes to extin- guish. An official estimate of damage has not been speci- fied yet, but the fire officials said from what they've viewed, including the kitchen and the smoke throughout the house, the damages are in the "high end."
