Driver takes
off from police
in stolen
pickup truck
(HOWICK & HURON EAST) —
Huron County Ontario Provincial
Police (OPP) officers are on the
lookout for a crew cab Dodge
Ram pickup truck that was stolen
from a Glenannon Road residence
this past weekend. The owner
reported his pickup truck was
stolen from his laneway some-
time overnight between 10:00
p.m. on Sunday, October 18 and
5:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19.
The owner had left the vehicle
unlocked with the keys inside
the cup holder. In addition, the
owner had left his wallet con-
taining identification, a quantity
of cash, cheques, a GPS system,
satellite radio system and sport-
ing equipment inside the truck.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on
October 19th a Huron OPP officer
spotted the stolen truck stopped
on Molesworth Line. As the officer
approached the stolen truck the
driver took off from the police
officer. The suspect driver pro-
ceeded across a lawn, through
a field and back onto Moles-
worth Line. The officer lost sight
of the stolen truck north of Ethel.
The stolen pickup truck is
described as a black, 2004 Dodge
Ram crew cab. The truck is val-
ued at approximately $8,000.
OPP officer
faces charges
(BRUSSELS) —A mem-
ber of the Huron County OPP
has been issued a Provin-
cial Offence notice follow-
ing a collision on October 14.
Investigation revealed that
the officer had just com-
pleted a traffic stop when he
attempted to make a u -turn
on Brussels Line. The fully
marked police cruiser collided
with a southbound vehicle.
The southbound vehicle rolled
and came to rest on its side.
Nobody was injured, how-
ever both vehicles sus-
tained significant damage.
As a result of the investigation,
OPP have charged a Huron County
OPP constable, for a stopped
position — not in safety, contrary
to section 142(2) of the High-
way Traffic Act. He has served
with the OPP just over one year.

RELEASE DATE: OCT. 23"' - OCT. 30'h, 2015
PLAN NUMBER 1-3-549
SWEEPING ROOF LINES
Sweeping roof lines, a dramatic arched
transom entry and a smooth stucco
exterior contribute to the sophisticated
appeal of this compact, open-plan home.
Inside the covered entrance, the large
foyer presents a view of the great room
with its appealing corner fireplace —
just part of an exceptional family area
that has all the elements necessary for
today's casual lifestyle.
An oversized sun deck, accessed from
the family room, adds outdoor living
space. This deck is partly covered by the
roofline above, a bonus on rainy days.
The dining area is designed for formal or
informal gatherings. It has a convenient
buffet space and natural light will flood
in through a wall of windows.
In the kitchen area, a central island holds
a double sink as well as the dishwasher.
The raised eating bar along one side of
the island makes an ideal place to sit for
a quick breakfast or mid-morning coffee.
A pass-through between the kitchen
and the laundry room is large enough
to accommodate a second fridge or a
freezer. The laundry room leads to the
double garage, providing a convenient
route for unloading groceries from the
car.
The master bedroom suite is privately
located at the rear of the house and
has a door that opens to the sun deck.
A large walk-in closet holds his and hers
clothes while a five -piece bathroom
creates a home -spa experience.
The sky lit hallway in the sleeping wing
also leads to a three-piece bathroom
shared by the two secondary bedrooms.
High ceilings add to the airy, relaxed
interior of this innovative design.
The home measures 52 feet, 6 inches
wide and 52 feet deep, for a total of
1,485 square feet of living space, plus
an unfinished basement.
