Equipped with running
gear, St. James Catholic Ele-
mentary School students
crammed the large orange
Murphy bus, it was time to
showcase their skills they'd
been practicing all month.
The school joined hun-
dreds of others in the area at
the annual cross-country
meet in Clinton October 14.
Grade4/5 teacher and coach
at SJCE, Eddie Lopez, said
there was an intense training
camp leading up to the initial
meet. Being a cross-country
runner in high school he said
he "wanted to bring some of
his expertise to the students"
by measuring the exact dis-
tance each group would have
to run. It was a day-to-day
procedure, which he stated
went exceptionally well.
"I'm very proud of them, we
practiced pretty much every-
day for the last three weeks,
great commitment (and) great
effort," told the Expositor in
the principal's office. "The
kids overall felt that they did a
great job, not just myself, but
the coaching staff I had three
wonderful ladies that helped

A new geographical
change in the Centenaires
hockey club's name appears
to have altered their record,
in a victorious way.
The once called Seaforth
Centaires are now known as
Huron East, a heading that
the organization said suits
the time and the location.
"Seaforth is part of Huron
East now, we just thought it
would be better to adopt the
Huron East kind of naming
opposed to Seaforth only,"
explained the media coordi-
nator for the Huron East
Centenaires, Brett Lee.
This year's group is what
Lee refers to as a "big differ-
ence" compared to the last
season when the team won
two games. In an effort to
not follow in the same skate
strides as before, already the
Cents have matched that
season in only three games,
maintaining a 2-1 record and
staying undefeated at home.
"We've always been a very
gifted offensive team," stated
Lee.
It was a high scoring game
for the home opener for the
Cents as they beat on the
Milverton Drives, 9-2. They
lost against Clinton in an
away match -up 8-1 at the
Central Huron Community
Complex, but bounced back
to exceed Petrolia 5-3 last
Saturday back at Seaforth &
District Community Centre.
Lee said the "Important little
pieces" are great goaltending
by the new keeper, Woodstock
native Jesse Raymond and a
mixture of new faces that have
joined the team this season.
The Cents will try to maintain
their perfect record at home
when they clash head to head
against Tilsonburg October 23.

The Huron East Centenaires are
undefeated at home this year.
The team gathers after they
scored a goal on Milverton in
Seaforth October 10.
Forward for the Centenaires,
Chris Pfaff skates with the
puck down the middle of
the ice for the team's home
opener. They won 9-2.

Back in October 1985, we opened our Robert Q Travel agency on Ontario Street in Clinton. In the year
2000 we moved to our present location at 45 Albert Street. For 30 years, we have helped the residents of
Huron County with their travel plans. Whether it be a holiday, a business trip or another occasion, we have
enjoyed working with each and every one of our clients. You have become friends and made coming to
the office every day a pleasure. Your stories and adventures could fill a book.
Amber Kunz has been with us almost since day one. Loved by all our customers, Amber spends hours
searching out the best holiday for each of her clients. For the past ten years, Mike Buckman has also been
a superb employee, conscientious, and hardworking. The two of them contributed greatly to the success
of Robert Q in Clinton. Always working to put the client first, both are known for their attention to detail.
After 30 years, I've sold the business to my faithful employee Mike Buckman and his business partner Paul
Vandendool. Mike and Paul will continue with business as usual. They look forward to continuing to serve
all of your travel needs just as Robert Q has done for the last 30 years. I will continue to work in the office
on a part time basis in the future, and Amber will still be available as well.
Thank you to all our valued clients. Your loyalty is so appreciated. Please join me in wishing Mike and Paul
all the best in the coming years and for the continued success of Robert Q Clinton.
