PRYCE
It is so difficult to put into words how much not only this community
but all the surrounding communities have meant to us. The support
given to Rebecca and our family has been nothing short of
overwhelming. The prayers, financial, emotional and mental
support as well as food, has absolutely left us speechless. Kathy
Rivett, you have been our angel since Rebecca's diagnosis. As
Rebecca's teacher you gave up your summer holidays to plan,
organize and carry out the fundraisers. That was not an easy task
as the work involved was not only the planning but also the driving
to pick up the many prizes and the time spent organizing a
wonderful golf tournament which just kept growing. The donated
prizes from so many businesses and people were amazing and
very much appreciated. During all this time you were also there for
Rebecca (as well as the rest of our family). You make her smile and
to see her smile, made us smile. Legion members, you gave us
your time as well as the Legion hall and food. The BBQ was so well
organized. It could not have been done without you. You are all
volunteers who are so willing to give support and help to so many
causes. Seaforth should be very proud of their Legion. Thank you
to the Seaforth golf club for hosting the benefit golf tournament. It
was a wonderful day and the weather co-operated perfectly. The
participants all looked amazing!! We want to thank all the
volunteers who gave their time for both of these events as well as
food for the BBQ. It was because of each and every one of you
both fundraisers were a huge success. All of Rebecca's coaches,
teammates as well as their parents have worked very hard showing
their support by "Rallying for Rebecca" as well as her classmates,
friends and parents from school having fundraisers of their own.
Becky Janmaat's ice cream sales and some businesses having
their own fundraisers for Rebecca are also very much appreciated.
Other sports teams (besides Rebecca's) gave their support as well.
Thank you to Katie Johnston for setting up the "go fund me" page
on Facebook. We could not begin to list everyone who donated
prizes, money, food and time and for prayers and gifts for Rebecca,
but we want to thank each and every one of you for everything. It is
truly astounding what the communities have done to show their
support and be there for us in so many ways during a very difficult
time. To say thank you seems so inadequate, but we want
everyone to know it all has been very much appreciated and will
never be forgotten.
