HomeMy WebLinkAboutHuron Expositor, 2015-11-25, Page 1616 Huron Expositor • Wednesday, November 25, 2015 POLICE BRIEF OPP officer faces charges (HURON EAST) —A mem- ber of the Huron County OPP has been issued a Provin- cial Offence notice follow- ing a two vehicle collision on November 17 at 11:40 a.m. The officer had completed a traffic investigation and was making a turn on Cardiff Road in Huron East when the fully marked police cruiser struck a parked vehicle. There was minor damage to both vehi- cles and no injuries were reported at the scene. The provincial constable was charged with start from a stopped position — not in safety, contrary to sec- tion 142(2) of the Highway Traffic Act. He has served with the OPP for one year. $2,500 electric pump stolen (CENTRAL HURON) — Huron County Ontario Provin- cial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigat- ing the theft of an electric pump that was stolen from the Ministry of Transpor- tation (MTO) service yard located just west of Clin- ton on Highway 8. Some- time between November 17, 2015 and November 18, 2015 unknown person(s) entered onto the property and stole the pump from a storage box that was located beside a brine tank. The MTO used the pump to pump brine for road de- icing. The pump has a 220 volt electric motor attached. The pump is valued at approximately $2,500. CLINTONS • Windows.
