More victims in
historical sexual
assault case
(HURON COUNTY) - The Huron
County Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) Criminal Investigations Unit
has identified more victims in an
ongoing historical sexual assault
investigation that dates back
to between 1971 and 1995.
Five additional victims have been iden-
tified who were all between the ages
of 10 and 21 when the offences took
place. Officers determined that the
accused gained access to the victims
through his employment at the Wing -
ham & District Hospital and through
his volunteer work as a Scout Leader
with the 1st Wingham Scout troop.
As a result of the further investi-
gation, A 71 -year-old man from
North Huron, is facing the fol-
lowing, additional charges:
• Six counts of Indecent
Assault, contrary to section
156 of the Criminal Code
• One count of Indecent
Assault, contrary to section
149 (1) of the Criminal Code
• Eight counts of Gross Inde-
cency, contrary to section
157 of the Criminal Code
• Two counts of Sexual
Assault, contrary to section
271 of the Criminal Code
• One count of Sexual Assault,
contrary to section 246.1
(1) of the Criminal Code
• Two counts of Forcible Con-
finement, contrary to section
247(2) of the Criminal Code
• One count of Sexual Exploi-
tation, contrary to section 153
(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
He has since been released from cus-
tody with a court appearance sched-
uled for December 10, 2015 at the
Ontario Court of Justice –Wingham.

On Wednesday November 18 our
teams stayed in Seaforth to take the
ice against Mildmay.
Our Atoms 2 had a close game
with both teams playing hard. At
halftime the score was 2-2 Seaforth
goals scored by Ethan Blake and
Logan Donohue. In the second half
Donohue scored our third goal
assisted by Katrina Bolinger, with
the game ending in a win for Sea -
forth 3-2.
Our Peewees had a great game
against the other team but the just
couldn't hit the net. They ended up

Our Bantams had a slow start to
their game, with Kaden Klaver
opening up the scoring. After the
halftime the score became a little
higher. The Hitmen had a wining
score of 5-0. With Matthew Kovacs
adding two of those goals. Cody
O'Rourke and Conner Melady each
score one also.
Our Midgets had a very intense
game against the Mildmay Girls.
Patrick O'Rourke started off our
scoring in the middle of the first.
After the mid we had two other
goals scored by Jack Campbell and
Sydney Hunking.
