KENNETH ADAM LINGELBACH
November 16, 1923 -October 23, 2015
Ken passed away peacefully at Upper Canada Lodge,
Niagara -On -The -Lake ON. He is predeceased by his
wife, Marjoree (Gillies) Lingelbach; his father, Adam
Lingelbach; his mother, Elizabeth (Otto); his sisters,
Ethel Lee, Vera Bastendorff, Alma Knight and Idella
Bolwell; his brothers, Ezra, Harvey and Willis; and
sadly as well, by his grandson, Adam Grant Bisback.
Ken was born and raised on the family farm in East
Zorra Township near Tavistock; went to Business
College; worked at Ontario Forgings, manufacturing
anti-aircraft shells. He joined the Royal Canadian Air
Force in 1942 and served as a Leading Air Craftsman
until 1945. Soon after his return, he learned the trade
of watch and clock repair from his brother-in-law, Jack
Bastendorff. Ken started up a jewellery store in Ayr,
where he met his wife. In 1968, after a wonderful life
of community involvement, he moved his family and
became the owner/ operator of Seaforth Jewellers.
The joys of his life included being a devoted and
supportive husband for 56 years, visiting family and
friends, the Ayr Curling Club, travel, winters in Florida,
church, playing bridge, shuffleboard and crokinole
with friends at Greenwood Court in Stratford. Ken will
be missed by his daughters, Becky Bowerbank
(Charlie) of Burns Lake, BC; Lori Bisback (Allan) of
Niagara -On -The -Lake; grandsons, Shane
Bowerbank, Andrew Bisback; great- grandchildren,
Curtis and Alyssa Bowerbank; nieces, Karyn Mannell
(Jim), Lynne Patterson, Diane Dolan (Ken), Mary
Crawford (Erle); cousin, Joan MacDermid (Angus).
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis
Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock
on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 10:30 a.m.
where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Pastor John Patterson will officiate. Interment in Ayr
Cemetery will follow a reception. As expressions of
sympathy, donations to the Canadian Council of the
Blind, 20 James Street, Suite 100, Ottawa, ON. K2P
OT6 or the Canadian Diabetes Association,
Southwest Ontario Region, 442 Adelaide Street
North, London, ON. N6B 3HB would be appreciated

HOEGY, Lavern - Has gone to be with
his Lord as he passed away peacefully at
Seaforth Community Hospital on Friday,
October 30, 2015. Born in McKillop
Township on August 10, 1928, Lavern Roy
Hoegy of Brussels was in his 88th year. Left
to be remembered by his devoted wife
Greta (nee Smith) Hoegy of 66 years.
Dearly missed by his children, Brenda
Nicholson (Jim), Wayne Hoegy (Linda),
Yvonne Coultes (Bryan), Maureen
Friedman (Gary), Douglas Hoegy (Mary
Dianne) and Lyle Hoegy (Mary). Lavern will
also be missed by 19 grandchildren, 28
great-grandchildren and by his sister Leotta
MacKenzie. Predeceased by his parents
Fred and Ella (nee Doerr) Hoegy, sister
Evelyn Kleber and brother Wilbur Hoegy.
Lavern's achievements besides his loving
family include his involvement in the
community as a school trustee, elder in his
church, Brodhagen Chamber of Commerce
and an initial member of the McKillop OFA.
During his retirement, he and Greta enjoyed
their winters in Florida and his summers
fishing at Aaron Lake. Lavern's family wish
to thank the medical staff that attended to
him for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place and memorial
visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY
FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390,
on Sunday, November 1st from 6-9 p.m.
Lavern's funeral was held at Cavan United
Church in Winthrop on Monday, November
2, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mary Fletcher
officiating. A reception followed at the
Brodhagen Community Centre and
interment will take place at McKillop United
Cemetery at a later date. Memorial
donations to the Seaforth Community
Hospital Foundation or Cavan United
Church are appreciated and can be made

McNAIRN, Jim - Peacefully at Clinton
Public Hospital on Tuesday, October 27,
2015. Born on January 3, 1934, James
Douglas McNairn of Seaforth was in his
82nd year. Survived by his brother Ken
McNairn (Calista), nephew Jeff McNairn,
daughter Karen McNairn-Dallas, grandsons
KC and Nashton Dallas, son David McNairn
(Gina), step -grandchildren Marley and Miles
Christopher, good friend Jackie Dickson
and her children Alex, Becca, Marley and
Shane, and by his cousins Marlene, Terry
and Karen Hewlett. Predeceased by his
parents Leslie and Margaret (nee Reeves)

granddaughter Brandace Menheere, uncle
Clarence Reeves, aunt Lillian Hewlett and
cousins Lawrence Cameron and Tim
Hewlett. Cremation has taken place and a
celebration of Jim's life was held at Janet's
Country Donut Cafe, Seaforth, on Friday,
October, 30, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. Memorial
donations to the Eyes on Malawi Mission
