Robyn Doig advances to USGA Women's Public Links Championship Seaforth Golf Club Seaforth Golf Club's Robyn Doig, advanced to the United States Golf Associa- tion's Women's Public Links Championship after making a birdie on the first play-off at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk, Ohio, yesterday. Doig, 22 is a senior at Uni- versity of Central Florida in Orlando where she is a member of the Golden Knights Women's Golf Team. With three players eligible to advance to the champion- ship scheduled for mid-July at The Home Club in Seattle, Washington, Doig's one over 72 put her in a tie for third and resulted in a play off with American Kaitlin Neumann. Doig put her wedge to four feet on the par five and sank the putt to advance. Robyn's brother, Paul, a freshman at Kennesaw State University and a member of the Owl's Men's golf team was on the bag. It was nice to have Paul on the bag and it was a great feel- ing to have the swing changes I've been making stand up under pressure," said Doig who is the reigning Ontario Women's Amateur and Wom- en's Match Play Champion.
