Playground campaign
gets boost
Stephen Gower with Edward Fuels awards
Jeremy Brock, vice-principal of Seaforth
Public School, and students Tyler Smale
and Kiera Caldwell with a cheque for $531
for the school's playground renewal fund
last week. The money was generated from
a car wash fundraiser at Seaforth's Shell
station. According to a message from the
school, the campaign has generated just
over $50,000, with phase one of the project
looking to begin in mid-June when the new
primary equipment and junior swings will
be installed. Due to changes in the material
costs and the addition of new components,
the school says it will now require about
$30 000 to continue with phase two of the
project, which will include the junior climbing
equipment, a sand play area on our primary
yard and new soccer goal posts.

Comments - The girls first
game of the year went well.
There was lots of passing
between all players with many
opportunities to score on the
opposition goal. Kudos to
Alyssa McBeath who played
her first game as keeper and
made some big saves when
needed. Overall, a great effort
from front to back.
