twice, but is
caught after
(Huron County)- OPP offic-
ers from Huron County
arrested an adult male from
Huron County following a
search northeast of Wing -
ham. After receiving a call
at approximately 10:00 a.m.
officers responded to a resi-
dence located on B -Line
Road. The property owner
reported a male had entered
into his residence and when
confronted the male sus-
pect took off on foot.
Huron County OPP officers
along with the assistance of
West Region OPP Emergency
Response Team (ERT) and
the OPP Canine Unit arrived
on scene and searched the
area. At 1:44 p.m. police
received a second call for
assistance from a home-
owner located nearby on
Howick-Turnberry Road. The
suspect was spotted inside
of the caller's residence,
after that the man then fled
on foot a second time.
Police met at the scene
and searched the area.
At approximately 2:45
p.m. officers found the
male hiding in a wood -
lot on Howick-Turnberry
Road near Gilmour Line.
All the charges will be
released pending fur-
ther investigation.
Police are
looking for
stolen Jeep
(PERTH)- On July 15, Perth
County Ontario OPP offic-
ers were called to a rural
address along Road 116
south of Hesson, where the
owner noticed his Jeep Lib-
erty had been stolen.
After a further Investigation,
the police said sometime
after 12:30 a.m. an unknown
person entered onto the
property. The suspect then
searched the unlocked Jeep
that was parked at the back
of the property. The key
for the Jeep was located
in one of the vehicles cup -
holders, after the key was
found the suspect drove
away. Personal belong-
ings and a large number of
tools were also in the Jeep
at the time. The Jeep was
driven from the property
in an unknown direction.
The Jeep is described as
a brown 2006 Jeep Lib-
erty with the Ontario license
plate BVWY149. Anyone with
information about the theft
of this Jeep or knowing its
whereabouts is asked to con-
tact the Perth County OPP at
1-888-310-1122. Should

TIPS (8477) and you may
be eligible to receive a cash
reward of up to $2000.
The OPP said automobile
owners must lock and secure
their vehicles when they are
parked. They also advised
residents to not leave keys
and valuables in vehicles.
Wanted man
is found living
in cabin
(MORRIS-TURNBERRY) —
Huron County OPP offic-
ers received information on
July 14 that a wanted male
had broken into a cabin and
was using it as a shelter.
At roughly 3:30 a.m. offic-
ers from Huron OPP, South
Bruce OPP and Wingham
Police attended the prop-
erty. After arrival the offic-
ers were able to instruct the
male over the phone to walk
out of the cabin. After some
discussion the male complied
and surrendered to police.
He was immediately placed
under arrest for the out-
standing warrants and sub-
sequently searched. Upon
searching the male, officers
found the male to be in pos-
session of knives, a small
quantity of marijuana, drug
paraphernalia and prescrip-
tion medication. In addi-
tion, he failed to comply with
conditions of his probation
orders and recognizance.
The suspect has been
charged with 44 crimi-
nal code charges. Charges
include, break and enter, mis-
chief under $5,000, posses-
sion of cannabis marijuana,
30 counts of fail to comply
with a probation order and
11 counts of fail to com-
ply with a recognizance.
