We have enough snow to keep the winter sports enthusiasts happy. At Cavan Church on Sun- day the Christ candle was lit by Betty Glanville. The chil- dren's story was about a happy dog and a frowning dog in a mirror. Are we friendly or not? The choir sang "In the Still of the Winter." Minister Mary Fletcher's message was titled "Listening for God's Voice.' Many great ideas have come when we are about to fall asleep. Samuel was chosen to be the next prophet after Eli. Solomon asks God to help him be a good King. Several persons, some recent, have heard and accepted the call to serve a Christian Godly life. Cavan's annual meeting will be held on Feb. 8 after the 11 a.m. service and lunch. Food for Thought The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up. Through the covered entry is a small foyer with a coat closet on the left and stairs to the basement directly ahead. Both the entry porch and foyer boast lofty 11 -foot ceilings. The great room, also with an 11 -foot ceiling, features a corner fireplace. Large floor -to -ceiling windows overlook a deck, part of which is covered. Access to the deck is through the dining area. Exterior finishes include horizontal siding with board -and -batten accents in the gables. Windows are partly mullioned.
