("BroadGrain") is a fast-growing global company trading and transporting grains, cereals, oilseeds, corn and by-products. We use our expertise and experience in logistics, sourcing and distribution to connect our customers to global markets while providing excellence in customer service. Today, BroadGrain enjoys over $650 million in annual revenue and handles over one million tonnes of grain each year in our international and domestic businesses. We are currently looking for a Grain Administrator to join our team in Stratford office. The Grain Administrator will assist the Supply Chain and Procurement teams and will also work closely with other members of the Accounting department. The perfect candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with the business and ensure the delivery of high quality and timely service to BroadGrain. Responsibilities and Duties: ■ Enters new purchase contracts in the system, per direction received from traders and third party. Prepares, prints and maintains contracts for signature and copies, distributes and files as appropriate. ■ Inspects and verifies outturns/bills of lading received by fax/email from third party noting commodity, destination, and weight of shipments. Based on the received data enters tickets for inventory movements in the system. ■ Input information from manual tickets into SMARTSoft program. Process 'back to back' grain receipts/shipments maintaining ticket input current and up to date. ■ Settles purchase and sales contracts in a timely manner, with close attention to details such as conversion factors, discount schedules, deductions, additions and applicable services charges. ■ Enter expenses related to inventory movement into the system. Verify costs against related order logs created by logistics coordinators. Check ticket numbers for invoice matching. Bring up issues and report on discrepancies. ■ Interacts and communicates effectively with traders with regard to any contract 'overages' and obtains direction as how to proceed with contract settlements. ■ Communicates with farmers and processing plants on their requests for information and/or resolution on reported discrepancies. Liaises between producers -third parties -traders -accounting to ensure proper communication of information and efficient operating processes. ■ Reconcile all inventory balances at month end and as necessary. Investigate related transactions and takes actions to solve discrepancies. Key qualifications would include: ■ 3 years of data entry experience ■ Excellent weight conversion skills ■ Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook ■ Ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities in a fast -paced environment ■ Post -secondary education or related certificate program ■ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) ■ Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, external suppliers, and customers in a professional manner If you are interested in working for a growing company, we would love to hear from you!
