Police say the man was noticed travelling in a Lincoln Navigator southbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway at a significant amount of speed at about 8 a.m. on Aug 19. An officer measured the speed of the vehicle with a radar device at a rate of 131km/h in a posted 80km/h zone. After stopping the alleged 33 -year-old speeder, the Huron County OPP charged the man with racing a motor vehicle, sus- pended his licence for seven days and the vehicle he was driving which was a rental was impounded. He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on October 6.
