Artistic talent under one roof in Seaforth
While Max Bickford has
enjoyed various careers, he
has always been a creator at
heart, someone with an art-
ist's eye who has long
worked in design as a side-
line. And thanks to Huron
East's "Win This Space"
contest, he has now gath-
ered all his artistic talent
under one roof as Studio
Art & Custom Framing,
including Huron County
Graphics Design & Print.
The visionary municipal
competition provided a
refresher course in start-up
requirements and proce-
dures for Bickford and led
to his leasing the business
space he had hoped to win
even before the contest was
completed. Someone once
said "He who hesitates is
lost." Bickford had no
intention of hesitating or
being lost.
What this new business
means for regional clients
is 'one stop shopping.' No
need to drive long dis-
tances to larger centres for
a wide variety of services.
Exceptional quality and
excellent customer service
are now available close to
home.
Bickford is able to
enlarge your favourite
wedding photos and cus-
tom frame them beauti-
fully. He can design
business cards, letterhead,
brochures, posters and
advertising material, and
then arrange all the print-
ing. If it's a particularly
special photograph of
your business property or
eye-catching poster you'd
like blown up and framed
for your reception area,
Max can look after that
too. His newly renovated
storefront also carries a
number of stylish
promotional products,
which can be embossed
with your company logo
or name. And all these
high-end services are
offered at reasonable
prices.
As a further attraction,
Bickford's storefront car-
ries outstanding pottery,
some designed by local
artisans, as well as a line
from Prince Edward
Island, and unique
hand -painted pottery
from Arizona. Whether for
home, office or as an
exceptional gift, these
superbly crafted pieces
will enhance any space,
adding colour, form and
function in any setting.
Studio Arts & custom
framing is located at 18
Main St. in Seaforth. For

BLOM, NICK
In loving memory of a very dear Husband,
Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather,
Nick Blom, who passed away August 30,
2008.
These past years without you,
Are the hardest we've ever known,
We treasure every thought of you,
And keep them as our own.
Although we cannot see you,
You are with us night and day,
For the love that was between us,
Death cannot take away.
The next time we will see you,
Will be at Heaven's doors,
You'll be there to greet us,
And we will cry no more.
We'll put our arms around you,
And kiss your smiling face,
Then the pieces of our broken hearts,
Will fall back into place.
- Sadly missed and lovingly remembered
by his wife Annie, daughters and sons-in-
law, Elizabeth, Willy, Mary & Mark, Rita &
John, Annette & Ron, Grandchildren &
Great Grandchildren.
