We would like to thank everyone for the
many acts of kindness shown to us on the
passing of our dear daughter, sister, and
aunt, Jean Rathwell. Your phone calls,
cards, visits, emails, food and other gifts,
were very much appreciated at this sad
time. Jean was very special to all of us, and
is deeply missed. Thank you,

DALE, Lorraine (Lolly) - Passed away
peacefully at her home, surrounded by her
loving family, on Sunday, March 22, 2015.
Lorraine Dale (nee Smith) of Seaforth was
in her 79th year. Loving wife of Ron Dale
for 60 years. Cherished mother of Terry and
Suzie of Clinton, Brian and Anita of
Seaforth, Allan and Laurie of Stratford,
Brenda and Rick Konarski of Blyth, Ron
and Deb of West Branch, Michigan, Don
and Connie of Mitchell and Shelly McKellar
and Matt Marko of Egmondville. Loved by
17 grandchildren and many great-
grandchildren. Missed by her sisters, Helen
Weisenburg of Seaforth and Mary Koebel of
Kitchener, brother-in-law David Dale of
Stratford and sister-in-law Barb Whaley of
Woodbridge. Also survived by many nieces
and nephews. Predeceased by
granddaughters Tracy Dale and Amanda
Dale, in infancy, and Angela Konarski.
Lorraine's parents Ferdinand and Wanda
(Montei) Schmidt and 6 sisters, 2 brothers
and 7 in-laws. Visitation was held at
McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME,
Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Tuesday,
March 24th from 7-9 p.m., where the
funeral was held on Wednesday, March 25,
2015 at 11 a.m. Pastor Stephen Hildebrand
officiated. The Pallbearers were Lorraine's
sons, Terry, Brian, Allan, Ron, Don, and
son-in-law Rick; and the Flower Bearers
were grandchildren, Curtis, Kelsey, Chris,
Jason, Krystal, Amanda and Alyson. A
reception followed at the Seaforth Legion,
Branch 156 and interment will take place at
Maitlandbank Cemetery later in the spring.
Memorial donations to St. Elizabeth Health
Care, Egmondville United Church, Seaforth
Community Hospital Foundation or to a
charity of one's choice are appreciated and

HALDANE, Margaret Hazel - Margaret
Hazel Haldane passed away at the
Stratford General Hospital, on March 23rd,
2015, in her 94th year. Daughter of the late
James Hanna and former Matilda
Rassman, she was the beloved wife of the
late Robert Knight; dear mother of Robert
James Haldane, Ruth Ann Dobbin, Charles
Haldane and wife Nancy and Donald
Haldane and Wanda Chevalier. She will be
fondly remembered by her grandchildren
Bobby and April, Leo, Ronald and Tracy
Lynn, Doreen and Kevin and Katie, Kayla
and Krystal. She is survived by several
great-grandchildren. Margaret is
predeceased by her daughter-in-law Norma
Haldane, brothers John (Fran) and George
(Evelyn) Hanna. She is also predeceased
by her sisters, Irene McKibbon (Jack) and
Ruthanne in infancy. As well, Margaret, will
be dearly missed by her special friend
Cathy Crozier. She will also be missed by
her many nieces and nephews. Margaret
was a member of the "Lively Group" in
Stratford, as well as the Golden Age Club,
besides her service in these organizations,
one of Margaret's greatest passions was
babysitting and dancing. She worked as a
painter's helper at the CNR shops in
Stratford, as well as a food processor at
Whyte's Packing, then, finally at Blackstone
as a press operator till her retirement in
1988. Friends and relatives may call at the

HOME at 156 Albert Street, Stratford on
Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. The funeral service will take place on
Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the
funeral home, interment in Avondale
Cemetery to follow. As expressions of
sympathy, memorial donations may be
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Canada or to a charity of one's choice

JOHNSTON, Irwin - Passed away
peacefully at University Hospital in London
on Friday, March 27, 2015. George Irwin
Johnston of Lucan, formerly of Seaforth,
was in his 84th year. Beloved husband of
Doreen (nee Hedley) Johnston for 56 years.
Loving father of Elizabeth and Shawn
O'Neill of Ilderton and Neil and Joan
Johnston of North Andover, MA. Cherished
Grandpa of Jordon and Allie O'Neill,
Brendan O'Neill and Dinah, Danielle, Jay
and Hannah Johnston. Survived by
siblings -in-law, Evelyn Millican and Douglas
Hedley, both of England. Irwin will also be
missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Frank and
Hattie (nee Bolger) Johnston; siblings,
Roma Johnston, Harry and Marie Johnston;
and sister-in-law Patricia Stamper.
Cremation has taken place and memorial
visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY
FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390,
on Sunday, March 29th from 2 - 4 p.m. and
continued on Monday, March 30, 2015 from
11 a.m. until the time of Irwin's memorial
service at 1 p.m. Pastor Stephen
Hildebrand officiated and a reception
followed in the Northside United Church
Hall. Irwin's urn will be interred at
Maitlandbank Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial
donations to the Seaforth Community
Hospital or the Seaforth Lions Park and
Pool are appreciated and can still be made
