held their annual meeting . in the.
council`chambers, Clinton; Friday
Oct. 23 Attendance was only fair,
but perhaps this could be expected;
since.farmers are -Prone to -stay at•
home .unless '• there is ,real, dis-
satisfaction. The .rneeting seemed
to„be quite quell. satisfied with the
price,.of cream as giving.the'farm-

comparison to wages per .hour.
Surplus butter at the moment is

Last Wednesday we held our an-
nual field meet. It, was a big suc-
cess. ' We were unable to finish,
but we will complete the events,,
including the 'boys': big •.• soccer
game, on the first • fine ' day. that,
-comes along, The .Up -School • girls
(eleven and . twelve) beat . the
Down -School girls (nine and ten)
in their first, baseball game. The
Down-Sehool:;girls vowed that they
will win the second game,
"Art" is sure he could pole vault
much higher than`. the poles—if we
would let him! Louise and Helen
ought%to be champion softball play-
ers, forthey won in their 'softball
