read by Mrs. Carter. Kerslake, and
the bride -elect was presented with
many `beautiful gifts in a decorat-

Duncan Scott and Mrs. C. Kers-
lake assisted in -opening • the gifts.

embroidered with 'lace appliques
matching . the fitted: bodice.. A tiara
of seed pearls held the lace veil.

Mr's.'.Abner -Cosens, the former
Sarah•Frances .Turner, died in the
Wingham. Hospital on Friday, Oc-
:tober, 16. She was 92.-IVirs. Cosens
broke her hip -in a fall at her; home
on Minpie _Street • Wingham, last
April:;and was -hospitalized most:. of
-the summer. She -was :home -for- a
time; and able to move about,•• but
became{;ill. and ..had to return'`: to
the hospital:_ about a month ago: -
Born in • Tuckersmith township,
'Mrs: Cosens was a daughter_of.
Edward Turner and Liza Code, and
Moved With -her parents to Clinton
in 1893. She was educated in
Tuckersn-iith
On October. .16, 1920;, she' was
married at Clinton to, Mr. Cosens,
who predeceased her in 1942. Mrs.
Cosens has lived*:in-Bingham, since
her' marriage mid has. been a mem-
ber of the United Church :and : of
the WM.'S. ' She: was ' -also president
Of 'the Temperance .Society for a
number of years.
Mrs. Cosens was_a.woman ef'un-
usual intelligence and personal
charm, : Throughout her 1 o -n g
months:'of, .confinement: to the hos-
pital she never lost her sense of
humor'.and•• her interest in the
many friends who called to'see,ber;'
Surviving •are two sisters, `Miss
Mary Turner, of • Wingham, :who
lived. with her sister, and Mrsr.E:
