A meeting of the directors, ex-
ecutive and members of Blyth Ag-
ricultural Society was held in
Memorial Hall Thursday , evening,'
for the purpose of winding up the
finances of the 1059 fair.
The amount of prize money of-
ferawas $3,1300; of., :which__ sum.
$2,207.91 was claimed in prizes,,
which is less than $10 the arkiount
-claimed-following 'the_958_fair„
Many suggestions 'were, offered'
by those present for building Up the
1960,falr, These included the erec-
tion of more Sheeppens,' enlarging
the Junior section for petS;' and re-
vising the ruling regarding the ex-
hibit of poultry products.'

• gested the class be revised to elim-
• inate the section for, "a herd" of
cattle. It was recommended all
classes for Junior work be extend -

annual, meeting of District No. 8
Agricultural Societies., to, be held

from Ms home, 11/4 miles to the
east. When the Seaforth' fire bri-
gade reached the scene about 0:30
p.m., both buildings were a .solid

neighbors, John Carter arid Oliver
Wright:- Also lest, was -equipment
owned by another neighbor, Lav-
erne Hugill, and valued at '$1,200. -

on Saturday afternoon when he had

with Vaughan Douglas; of CIM,.
as guest speaker, Doug Snell di-
rector for the egg producers, gave
a talk on a canvass for funds to
promote the advertising of eggs.

the Blind campaign. The announce-
ment was made Tuesday by earia-

Dietz approached' Mr. Dickison re-
garding an' exhaust' fan for his
buildings at. a competitive price,
A great deal of thoueht was put
into this, and' many • days- and

fan that would be suitable for the

Mr.' Dickison found that in or-
der to manufacture this fan at the
right price, materials had to be
