Home ' Auxiliary
Several ladies from -:Blyth attend-
ed -the monthly meeting of: the Lad-
ies' Auxiliary of:the Horne for. Sen-
ior Citizens, in the Huron County
Home Monday "afternoon. This 'aux-
iliary' was • formed in March;' 1959,
and --has already, accomplished a
great. deal__ _It was •. organizedun-'
der 'the supervision •. of the Depart-
ment, of Welfare and .Housing
Homes for the 'aged division. -- :•
The various branches of Women's
Institutes of West Huron' have vol-
unteered to -sponsor 'a:.birthday Par-
ty each month, especially honoring
the • citizens -who have birthdays.
during the 'current month, • but
treats and' entertainment are pro-
vided for
rovidedfor' all; no one group has a
monopoly, The purpose of the aux-
iliary is to aid the Itoiiie to bring
to .,its residents comforts which the,
Home is not able to 'provide, such
as entertainment, a library anda
craft program.
A bus' •trip to a Sunday evening
open-air service to a local drive-in;
theatre, ..which 32 residents at-
tended, was much enjoyed. A vis-
it to the craft room in the Home.

citizens still retain , their' skill . in
arts and crafts. •
