charged with Careless : driving fol-
lowing the accident, is scheduled
to appear on July 9 in magistrate's
court, Clinton., . •
Asks For Arrest
During the early portion of the
six -hour hearing, the patience of
Crown Attorney Glen Hays, Gq'.de-
rich, was tried to.. the extent that
he. requested Comer Jackson to
adjourn the inquest to issue a war
rant for the arrest of a witness for
contempt of• court; under the .Cor
oners' Act.• When 18 -year-old Ray

been; careless, that he (Armstead)
could have been speeding, or it

tion on the road over the centre
line.
In evidence given by Provincial
Constable' H. D. Hobbs, it was
learned .that the oily .part- df the
Armstead .car that wa"s . not darn
aged in the accident was the trunk
• 1i'd. The two cars were 429 feet
apart following the accident, • he
said, and. the left fender opArm
stead's car was jammed into the
right side of; the Hayter` vehicle.

in 1959. He is survived by one .son:

daughters and - a' sister, Mrs. Jas.

The funeral took place on Tues,
