He was the son of `the late Elliot6
Fairbairn and' Mary, Habkirk,' and
was born' on the., farm now occn-
pied by Mr. Glen Bell ` .In 1903 he
was married to Mary' ,:Ellen. Rob-
ertson, and they moved; to thefarm
on the boundary between •clay, and
Stanley, which :is now owned by
Mt. John Anderson.
They moved to Hensall 22 years
ago where they, resided until ,,sev-
en years ago when, on account of
ill health, they went to'reside with
their' only daughter, 'Mrs. :Ross:
Love. Two: sons; William and El-
liot, passed' away in their early
years. iris wife passed` away three
years ago -
Also surviving are one , sister,
Mrs. 'Ellen Dalrymple, 61 Clinton;
one' brother, John, -of. Winnipeg,
and., four grandchildren, . ' -
He was .a life-long member r_of
Kippers: Church. In 1953. Mr, and
Mrs. .'Fairbairn celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary.
