Some turkeys were lost, iri a
blaze Tuesday in a barn near
'CrornarfY, • The -fire started when
one of tbe- oil fed brooders, on the
ground floor of the barn, caught
Nearly 200 neighbors froni

converged on the fire scene, armed
with their ' own fire' extinguishers',
were credited withsaving several
thousand turkeys. ' • ,
Don Hocking:, Hibbert,. whose
farm is located east of Crotnarty,
said his neighbors who answered
the rural telephone fire alarm
ring, were responsible for saving
the turkeys, his large barn and an
adjoining ,large brooder house,
