25. In Memoriam
EISLER—In loving memory
of a dear husband, John Eider,
who passed away one year ago
to -day, August 3rd, 1960.
The Golden Gates stood open,
One year ago to -day,
With farewells left unspoken,
He slowly slipped away,
He suffered much in silence,
His spirit did not bend,
But faced his pain with tour-
. age,
Until the very end,
He tried so hard to stay with
us,
His fight was all in vain,
God took him to his loving
home,
And freed him from his
pain.
—Lovingly remembered by
his wife, Gladys.

25. In Memoriam
EBSLE1b. -In loving memory
of our Grandpa., John Eisler.
Far beyond the skies in
Heaven,
His spirit rests in Peace,
He no longer suffers pain or
sickness,
But our hearts are filled with
grief,
God called him early that
evening,
With Angels he went away,
With the golden stars in
Heaven,
Where we hope to meet our
pampie someday.
Grandchildren. 25-77-1
EISL'ER- .th loving memory
of our dear dad, John Eisler,
who passed away one year ago
to -day, August 3rd, 1960.
It's lonesome here without
you dad,
We miss you more each day,
For life is not the same to us,
Since you were called away,
If we had all the world to give
We'd give it yes, and more,
To hear your voice apd see
you smile,
And greet you at the door,
So you who have a father,
Cherish him with care,
You'll ' never know a heartache
Till you see his "vacant chair,
- And in your heart his mem-
ory lingers.
Always tender, fond and true
There's not a day dear dad,
That we do not think of you.

TIMELY TIPS
Is your silo wearing thin at
the top? Try to stop the con-
crete from flaking now before
it gets too bad. Professor Frank
Theakston, of the OAC En-
gineering Science Department,
says if the surface isn't pitted
too much, brush on a coat of
raw linseed oil. Applyit a
short time before you intend to
fill: If the concrete is deeply
pitted, it's best to buy a com-
mercial grout, mix it up, and
trowel on. Let it dry and then
brush on the raw linseed oil.
"But Joe dear, you shouldn't
have brought that Mr. Hoskins
home for dinner when I'm house
cleaning."
"Sh-sh, dear; he's the only
man I know strong enough to
lift the sideboard."
WALTON NEWS OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Kenneth McDonald, first
vice-president, was in charge of
the July meeting of 'the Walton
Women's Institute on Thurs-
day evening in the Walton Com-
munity Hall. In opening, .Mrs.
McDonald welcomed the ladies
from the two visiting Institutes,
Seaforth and Londesboro,
The secretary's report by Mrs.
Harvey Craig was read. The
treasurer, Mrs. Wm. Humphries,
reported a balance of $149.93
on hand. Correspondence was
read and dealt with. Mrs. Mar-
garet Humphries will be leader
of the girls' course this fall,
with an assistant to be chosen.
It was agreed that the Insti-
tute take up the "Foster Par-
ent" project. A few branches
have taken up this project and
are finding it worth while. The
child "adopted" stays in his
own country with his own family
and the organization "adopting"
him or her pays $60 a year. The
organization acting as foster pa-
rent would be put in touch with
the child selected for adoption
and letters would be exchanged.
A great many institutes had
asked instead of making dona-
tions to so many organizations,
they might have a project of
their own. A vote of thanks was
moved by Mrs. Margaret Hum-
phries to the committee in
charge of the bus trip in June.
The August meeting will be
in charge of The- Historical Re-
search and Current Events com-
mittee. Mrs. Jan Van Vliet, Jr.,
and Mrs. Wilbur Turnbull. Each
member is requested to take a
grandmother to this meeting.
Roll call was answered with
