Achilles, RR 3, Walton, on their 25th wed- ding anniversary, Progressive euchre was en- joyed and Mrs. Robert Cole, of RR 3, Clinton, the former Mar- garet Murray, Reg.N., read a well -worded address to the bride and groom of 25 years. Many lovely and useful gifts were presented to the couple. Rolly made a very suitable reply, thanking everyone. The regular monthly meeting of the 17th and Boundary Group of Duff's United Church was held at the home of Mrs. Clif- ford Ritchie with 16 members present. Mrs. Harold Smalldon was in charge of the meeting, which• opened with the singing of the hymn, '`I Am Thine, 0 Lord; I Have Heard Thy Voice."' Rev. A. Higgenbotham then led in prayer; Scripture reading from Isaiah 55 by Mrs. Roy Wil- liamson and comments on the scripture passage by Mrs. Small - don. A poem was read by Mrs. Henry Armstrong. The minutes and reports were read and ap- proved. Rev. Higgenbotham gave an explanation of the changes that are going to be Made in women's organizations in the church. Business was at- tended to and the meeting was closed with the hymn, "Pass Me Not, 0 Gentle Saviour," and the Mizpah benedietion. Lunch was served by the hostess and the lunch committee and a so- cial half hour enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Achilles have two daughters, two sons and one grandson: Mrs. William Tay- lor (Margie), Staffa; Anne, who is at present employed at the Toronto -Dominion Bank, Sea - forth; Don, of Red Lake, and Gerald, of Staffa.
