of Moncrieff, accompanied by Mrs.
J. Smith. Mrs. Frank Riley, Con-
stance, gave a reading. Mrs. R.
,McMichael introduced the guest
speaker, Mrs. Wm. McVittie, of
Blyth, Mrs. McVittie said it gives
a person a wonderful lift to be in
Presbytery work in fellowship with
one another and it helps to spark
enthusiasm. She chose as her
theme, "The Lifted Christ." The
coming of Easter heralds the com-
ing of new life. There is new life
in the air and our whole outlook
in life seems changed. We do not
like to dwell on unpleasant things,
but want only the joyous things
of life. We must have sorrow be-
fore we can have the true meaning
of joy. Some are afraid of public
opinion and will not step out for
themselves. There is a need for
us to fulfill our duties. We need
teachers for Sunday Sch0o1 and
leaders in our different groups
and have true loving service ren-
dered to God, I will lift up my
eyes unto the hills from whence
cometh my help. We must seek
God in the morning if we want
him. Christ is alive; He has i ris-
en. Let us open our hearts and
let God come in. Will we as Chris-
tian women serve Him?
Mrs. Clarence Martin thanked
the speaker and Mrs. D. Watson

Wilbur Turnbull and Mrs. Torrance
Dundas.

an, Catharine Murray, Alexine Wil-
liamson, Bonnie Uhler and Irene
Johnston sang as (a double trio, ac-
companied by Mrs. E. McCreath.
