Everyone was saddened to hear
of the painful accident to Mr. Geo.
Watt last Friday, when his legs
became entangled in the snow
blower he was ,operating. Mr. Watt
was taken to Victoria Hospital,
London, by ambulance. We all hope
for a complete recovery for Mr,
Watt. Mrs. Watt is staying in
London with her daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Russell

Mrs. McGregor, who resides

taken by Bonthron ambulance to
Clinton Public Hospital.
New Year's Day shoot will be
held at Kippen, Monday, Jan. 2,
at 1 p.m., for the John Labatt tro-
phy. The 50 -bird handicap event its
sponsored by Kippen Gun Club.
The trophy is now held by Harry
Mathers, Exeter.
Christmas Services
Special Christmas services were
observed in the United Church Sun-
day morning, For his sermon topic
Rev. R. C. Winlaw spoke on
"Christ, God's Gift To Our World."
The senior choir for their anthem
sang, "Angels From the Realms
of GIory," and the senior and jun-
ior choirs sang "Star Of the East."
The minister expressed his thanks
to the decorating committee for the
church decorations, the First Hen-
sall Guide Company and Brownie
Pack for the two beautiful poinset-
tia plants, and the donors of the
carillion bells, which rang out so
beautifully Christmas Eve and
Christmas morning. The choirs
were under direction of Mr. S.
Ronnie and Miss Greta Lammie
presided at the organ console.
The Sacrament of Holy Com-
munion will be celebrated at this
New Year's Day service.
Mr. Howard Kerr, of Exeter,
occupied the pulpit at Carmel
Presbyterian Church Christmas
morning, delivering a very appro-
priate message. Choir anthems in-
cluded, "And There Were Shep-
herds," a combined anthem of jun-
ior and senior choirs; and "0 Holy
Night," soloists, Mrs, Wm. Brown
and Jim Dougall. The church dec-
orations were arranged by the
Arnold Circle, The junior choir
sang two selections in the after-
noon at Knox Presbyterian Church,
Bayfield. Mrs. Malcolm Dougall
accompanied at the organ, and
Mr. Kerr delivered the sermon.
