who has been a patient in Clinton
Hospital, was removed by Bon-
thron ambulance Thursday to Vic-
toria Hospital; London.

and Mrs. George Boa, of RR 1,
Hensall, and the groom's 'parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Shiels,
of Belgrave.
For her wedding the bride chose
a street -length gown of white fig-
ured nylon, and carried a white
Bible crested with pink roses. The
attendants were Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Burns, Of Rexdale.
The young couple will reside in
Hensall. •

double -ring ceremony. -
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white waltz -length
gown of nylon organza over. satin,
styled with fitted bodice and bouf-
fant skirt of alternate tiers of ruf-
fled -nylon organza and chantilly
lace. A. tiara of sequins and pearls
held her finger-tip veil of French
illusion, and she carried a bouquet
of American Beauty roses.
After the ceremony, dinner was
served at Armstrong's in Exeter.
The bride's mother received the
guests wearing a jacket dress of
south sea linen with matching pic-
ture hat; trimmed with flowers and
seed pearls and corsage of yellow
roses.
For travelling to points in the
north the bride chose an orchid and
white dress of nylon chiffon, orchid
petal hat, white coat and corsage
of roses,

BRUCEFIELD •
The Julymeeting of the WMS
was held in the school room of the
church Tuesday with 13 members
and three visitors present. Mrs.
N. Walker and Mrs. Ed. Allan had
charge of the worship service, the
topic being the Beatitudes. Mrs.
Walker read a passage relating to
the topic. Mrs. Allan read the
Beatitudes and gave the medita-
tion. Mrs.. Walker, gave- the, dos-
ing prayer.
Mrs. Scott took the chair for the
business mating. In a few well-
chosen words she welcomed the
new minister's wife to the meet-
ing. Mrs. Scott also read .a poem,
"Because." Roll call was answered
by naming a Disciple, • •
A thank -you from Mrs. Stack-
house was read by corresponding
secretary Mrs. Fotheringham. Mrs.
Hohner alsq thanked the WMS.
Fourteen calls were reported.
It was decided to pack a bale
late in. July or early in August.
Thre will not be an August meet-
ing. Mrs. Walker and Mrs. W.
Fotheringham will have charge of
'the September meeting, As this is
the last chapter of the current stu-
dy book, Mrs. Thompson was ask-
ed to send for the new book, "Into
All the World Together." Mrs. Ed.
Allan offered prayer for Miss Max-
well, missionary for prayer. Mrs.
E. Forrest and Mrs. Bruce Mc-
Clinchey read the concluding chap-
ters of the book, "Africa Disturb-
ed."
Mrs. Forrest•read of how much
music meant to the African natives.
They sing for joy, and also if they
are in sorrow. They feel that sing-
ing should be part of their religious
service: Mrs. McClinchey review-
ed the book which has been very
interesting due to the trouble in
Africa today.
At the conclusion, of the WMS
meeting, the WMS ladies entertain-
ed the Baby Band under the lead-'
ership of Mrs. Ken Scott and Mrs.
Fred McGregor. A few games and
contests were enjoyed and a boun-
tiful supper served.
HURON FARM NEWS
Haying is practically completed.
Dry weather is continuing in most
parts of the county and is showing
in field crops and pasture fields.
Wheat harvest seems to be only
One to two weeks away.

in Hensall Community Park with a
good attendance.

Mr. William Arnold returned
home from Scott Memorial Hospi-
tal, Seaforth, where he was a pa-
tient the .past week.

School for two weeks. The enrol-
ment at Zurich was around 180. •

home after two weeks' vacation
with Mr. and Mrs. 0. J. Smith, of
Ancaster. While there she was tak-,
en to see the Welland Canal and
