The June meeting of Group IV
of the WA of Northside United
Church was held at the home of
Mrs, •Jean Dill, Dublin, with 26
members and three visitors pres-
ent. Mrs. Howard Wilson presid-
ed. Mrs. J. A. Westcott had charge
of devotions, after which Mrs. J.
C. Britton led in prayer.
The roll call was answered by
"naming your father's birthplace."
Sunshine bags and talent money
were handed in. Mrs. John Bach,
social convener, gave a report on
plans for the strawberry supper to
be held later in June.
Mrs. J. Smith and Mrs. C. Dal-
ton had charge of the . program.

Euchre Winners
The Orange Hall Property Com-
mittee held .a successful euchre in
the Orange Hall Friday, with priz-
es going to the following: ladies,
high, Miss Elaine Brown; lone
hands, Mrs. Alex McMichael; con-
solation, Mrs. G. Reeves; men,
high, Alex McMichael; lone hands,
Charlie Cunningham; low, Curtiss
McDonald.
There was also a draw on a quilt,
which was won by Edith Mc-
Dougall,

ton, 84 -year-old grandmother of
Mrs. Smith, recited poems. Mrs,
Mae Hillebrecht.. introduced the
guest speaker, Mr, Cliff Epps, of
Clinton, who showed slides on a
recent trip he had taken through.
the States and Western Canada.
Mrs. Hudson thanked the speaker
and the hostess, also Mrs. Epps,
Sr., and Karen and Billie for "their
very enjoyable numbers.
Mrs. D. McCuaig and' Mrs.
Brady, Sr., each voiced their
'thanks' to those who provided
rides to the meetings during the
year. A delicious lunch was serv-
ed by the hostess assisted by An-
nie- McNichol and Mrs. Jean Wil -
bee,.
Over 300 turned out to witness a
hair -styling and fashion show at
the new Legion Hall last Wednes-
day night. Sponsored by the Le-
gion Ladies' Auxiliary to Branch
156 Canadian Legion, the display
was put on by Mrs. Grace McPher-
son, of Robert's "House- of Beau-
ty."
In charge of the event were Mrs.
Helen Vine and Miss Evelyn Hatha-
way, of Burno's Academy, Lon-
don. They were assisted by Mrs.
McPherson, 'Robert McPherson
and Miss Penny Scott of Robert's
"House of Beauty."
Modelling were Mrs. Jack Patti-
son, Mrs. William Bennett, Miss
Phyllis Lostell, Mrs. J. Harvey,
Mrs. William Trapnell, Mrs. John

Last Wednesday evening, a •show-
er was held for 4, and s. Robt.
Harloff, nee Audrey Ronnenberg,
at the Brodhagen Community Hap,.
The address -4yas read by Donald
Diehl and a purse of money was
presented by Gerald Pristap. Sip-
pel's orchestra .supplied the danc-
ing music.
On Friday evening a shower was
held in the same hall for Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Elligsen, nee Peggy
Higgerson. The address was read
by Carol Wurdell and the presen-
tation of a chesterfield and chair,
coffee table and end table was
made by Donna Scherbarth and
Gwen Wolfe. A gift of money frond
the Brodhagen Band, of which the
groom is' a member, was present-
ed by President Clayton •Ahrens.
Elgin Fisher and his Rhythmaires
supplied the music for dancing.
On Saturday evening a shower
was held in the aame hall for Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Cbstello, nee Mar-
garet Rose Murray. They were pre-
sented with a purse of money and
an address of good wishes was
read. Country Cousins orchestra
played for dancing.
C of C Meets
The regular monthly meeting of
the Brodhagen and District Cham-
ber of Commerce was held last
Thursday evening with 24 mem-
bers present. It was decided that
$500 be spent to buy stack chairs
for the hall. Wilbur Hoegy gave
a report of • the float which was
entered in the May 24th parade in
Mitchell. Proofs of the pictures
which were taken recently were
chosen, and it was decided to buy
one large picture of the members
and one small picture of each
year's executive, to be framed and
hung in the hall.
About 20 members of the United
Lutheran Church Women attended

A pretty wedding was solemniz-
ed at Northside United Church
manse on Saturday, June 4, -at 12
o'clock noon•,••,,.when Karen Elaine
Butt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
RoyButt, Seaforth, exchanged
wedding vows with Allen William
Geddes, son of Mr. Peter Geddes,
Bolton. Rev. J. C. Britton offici-
ated.
The bride looked lovely in a
waltz -length gown of Chantilly lace
dotted with sequins, with lily -point
sleeves and a boat neck and a
shoulder -length veil, and headdress
to match -the dress. She carried a
bouquet of red roses. .
Miss Flora Anne Scott• was the
bridesmaid, wearing a light green
taffeta embroidered dress with
streamers down the back and a
feather hat to match. She carried
a bouquet ,of white carnations.
Sheila and' Glenda Butt, nieces of
the bride, were Raver girls, wear-
ing pink and yellow nylon dresses,
and carrying nosegays of spring
flowers. •
Charles Geddes, of Seaforth, was°
groomsman for his brother.
A reception followed in t h e
Orange Hall, Seaforth. Guests were
present froni Bolton Brantford,
Stouffville, Flint, Mich., Stratford,
Flesherton and Seaforth.
The couple will reside in Sea. --

Street United Church, Clinton,
when Elizabeth Louise, youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Stevens, RR 2, Seaforth, exchang-

thur Crich, son of Mr. and. Mrs.
J. W. Crich, Clinton. The Rev. G.
L. 1Vlills,, Clinton, officiated at the
double -ring ceremony on Saturday
afternoon, June 4. Carman Haines,
Blyth, presided at the organ.
Given. in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor -length gown
of white nylon over taffeta with
lace inserts. The fitted bodice was
of lace trimmed with sequins and
long sleeves. A crown of iridescent
sequins held her fingelrtip veil.
She carried a crescent of red ros-

wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the
bride choosing a blue cotton dress

nations. On their return they will
reside in Clinton.

picnic supper at.the church Tues-
day evening, and expect to start
their scheduled games in the near
future.

anniversary picnic. The Harrisons
were pioneers of the Goderich dis-
