The regular meeting of the WMS
and WA of Duff's Church, McKi1..
lop, was held at the home of Mr.
and Mrs, `' David Shannon. The
meeting opened with a prayer giv-
en bythe. WA'president, presld nt, Mrs:,
Aaron Jantzi, followed by the
theme song and prayer. The treas-
urer's report was .given by Mrs.
George Campbell, 'and the Scrip-
ture by Mrs. John Kerr. A report
of the WA Presbytery in Goderich
was given by Mrs. Gordon McKen-
zie and Mrs. Aaron Jantzi. Mrs.
Ken Stewart gave ..a reading on
"Happiness." Mrs. Eldon Kerr
read a poem, "Don't Worry." The
hymn, "What a Friend We Have
in Jesus," was sung.
The WMS president, Mrs. Gor-
don McKenzie, opened the WMS
part of the meeting with the Lord's
Prayer. A prayer and, a reading,
"Let Us Be Christlike," and the
study book about Africa was giv-
en by Mrs. Gordan Papple. Mrs.
Mac Scott gave a reading about
"Membership Evening." The roll
call and the minutes of the last
meeting were read by Mrs. Eldon
Kerr. The ladies were invited to
Winthrop on June 1. The meeting
closed with a prayer; lunch was
served; and a social half-hour was
spent.

FOR ACTIVITIES DURING MONTH
The June meeting of the Catholic
Women's League was held Tues-
day evening at the home of Mrs.
Joseph Eckert. In the absence of
the president, Mrs. Kennedy, the
past president, Mrs, Michael Mur-
ray, presided. The second vice-
president, Mrs. Martin Murray, re-
ported 100 pounds of used clothing
sent to the Missions.
Final plans were made for' a
bingo and tea to be held at the
home of Mrs. Jack Moylan later
this` month. A reading on St. Anth-
ony was given by Mrs. Joseph
Kale. A prize donated by Mrs.
Joseph Nolan was won by Mrs.
Joseph Eckert.
Miss Betty Murray and Miss
Mary Catharine Roach sponsored a
miscellaneous shower for Miss
Florence Sloan, bride -elect of June
18, at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
James Sloan, Contests were en-
joyed and prizes awarded the win-
ners. An address of good wishes
was read by Miss Mary Catharine
Roach and the gifts opened. Flor-
ence expressed her appreciation
to all. Florence was also guest of
honor at a miscellaneous shower
in London.
A miscellaneous shower was
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs,
Auguste Ducharme, when Miss
Rosemarie Ducharme was the hon-
ored guest. Mrs. Carmel Malone,
Misses Joan and Noreen Dalton
and Mary Melady sponsored the
event. Bingo and other games
were played. Miss Joan Dalton
read an address, expressing good
wishes to the bride-to-be. Many
lovely gifts were displayed, for
which Rosemarie expressed her
thanks. Lunch was served.
In London, Rosemarie was guest
of honor at a shower at the home
of Mrs. Thomas Ducharme.

The Ladies' "Aid of First Presby-
terian Church met Tuesday after-
noon with a very good attendance.
Miss Jean Scott presided and the
meeting was opened with a poem,
"Busy Hands Are Happy. -Hands,"
read by Miss Jessie Fraser. The
hymns for the meeting were chos-
en by Mrs. A. Campbell.
After the business period, Mrs.
W. A. Wright sang a lovely solo,
"I'll. Go Where You Want Me To
Go, Dear Lord," accompanied by
Mrs. McGregor.
Miss Belle Campbell brought a
very timely message, entitled,
"God's Quiet Places," reminding
the group of the beauties of Nature
all around, and the need to take
time to enjoy and appreciate them.
Mrs. R. Kerslake moved a vote of
thanks to all who took part. The
meeting was in charge of the Les-
lie -Fraser group.

The annual Love -Forrest reunion
was held at Turnbull's Grove Wed-
nesday, June 1. The weather was
