Girls' Basketball -
Two weeks ago our Junior girls'
basketball team went to Wingham
(a neutral floor) to play a sudden -
death game with the Goderich Jun-
iors for the league championship.
,Although they played a fast-mov-
ing game, they were beaten • by
:ire points. Seaforth returned
home on the wrong end of a 32-27
score.
Freda Hunt led the Seaforth
team with 16 points. Marg Staple-
ton and Joan Reynolds had four
points'apiece; Eileen Dolmage, 2,
and Phyllis Bryans collected one
point. Don't worry, girl,, another
year, another cheer!
At this, point I think we should
pause and congratulate the Gide-.
rich District Collegiate Institute,
as they *managed to win all,£our
basketball championships.
