The Avon Maitland District School Board invites applications for the following positions:
Supply Educational Assistants, Supply Designated Early Childhood Educators,
Supply Secretaries, Supply Technical Resource Assistants, and Supply Custodians
These supply/casual call-in positions may occur at elementary or secondary schools located in Huron and Perth Counties
for the 2016/2017 school year.
Supply Educational Assistant (EA) candidate: will provide physical, behavioural and/or academic support to students in
integrated or self-contained settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal and
professional skills. One year college level certificate or diploma in the educational assistant or related field, or equivalent
experience required.
Supply Designated ECE candidate: must have a minimum two-year community college Early Childhood Education diploma,
proof of current registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, and recent experience as an ECE working
in an Early Learning Centre or Day Care.
Supply Secretary candidate: must be competent in keyboarding and computer literacy; work independently; possess
organization and multi -tasking skills; excellent oral and written communication skills. One year college level certificate or
diploma in office administration plus related work experience required.
Supply Technical Resource Assistant (TRA) candidate: will maintain the library; troubleshooting common computer
hardware/software problems; network support; administrative and clerical tasks; supporting students with the use of
technology. One year college level certificate or diploma in computer training plus related work experience required.
Supply Custodian candidate: will involve the ability to lift, climb stairs and ladders; knowledge of proper usage of chemicals
and cleaning supplies; experience in handling machinery ie. buffing machine; and mechanical aptitude in the trades.
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma required.

TAYLOR, Edward George - Passed
away peacefully at Seaforth Manor Nursing
Home on Monday, September 19, 2016.
Born in Toronto, on Friday, March 21, 1930,
Edward George Taylor of Seaforth, was in
his 86th year. Loving father of Roy Taylor
(Patti) of Egmondville, Rob Taylor (Sandra)
of Tavistock, Nancy Sayer (Leamon) of
Hamilton, Sheila Nigh (Charlie) of Vanastra,
Bruce Taylor (Kelly) of Elora, and father-in-
law of Darlene Taylor of St. Thomas.
Missed by 19 grandchildren and 31 great-
grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife
Ruth (nee McKean) Taylor, sons David and
Jim, and by his brother Bill. Cremation has
taken place and a private graveside service
was held at Maitlandbank Cemetery. As
expressions of sympathy, memorial
donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated and can

RILEY, Ross Ronald - At LHSC -
Victoria Hospital, London on Tuesday,
September 20, 2016, of Exeter in his 82nd
year. Born in Hibbert Township son of the
late Bert and Elizabeth Riley, he was
predeceased by his first wife Anna Grace
Forrest. He is survived by their daughter
Cheryl (Chuck) Wilkinson. Also surviving
are son Ronald (Kathy) Riley, daughter
Sheila Corbett, and their mother. Fondly
remembered by grandchildren Dan, Craig,
James, Mark; Meghan, Jay; Lindsay,
Michael, Mary -Jo and great-grandchildren
Logan, Mirium and Jasmine. He will be
deeply missed by his loving partner
Marjorie Heemeryck and her family Joseph
(Hannah) Heemeryck and Sharon (Chris)
Jones. Predeceased by son Raymond and
brothers Lloyd (Winnifred) and Leslie.
Survived by sister-in-law Susan Riley.
Friends and family were received at the
HASKETT FUNERAL HOME, 370 William
Street, Exeter (1 west of Main) on Sunday,
September 25th 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where a
celebration of life service was held on
Monday, September 26th at 11 AM.
Interment Staffa Cemetery. Donations to
Hensall United Church, or the Canadian
Diabetes Association would be appreciated

surrounded by his family in his home, on
Friday, September 16, 2016 of R.R.#1
Varna in his 64th year. Beloved husband of
Hessie (Wynja) Kipfer for almost 43 years.
Dear son of Jenny (Jolly) and the late Cecil
Kipfer (2014) of Hensall and son-in-law of
Teresa and the late Gerrit Wynja (2002) of
Egmondville. Dear father of Karen Kipfer-
Pryce and Dwayne Pryce of Winthrop,
Jenifer Clark and John Rudd of Hanover,
and Jeremy Kipfer of R.R.#1 Varna. Dear
grandfather of Drew, Alysha, Ryan,
Anthony, Darcy, Rebecca, Brittney,
Courtney, Kyle; Justin, Joshua, Jaxson,
Graycee, Gavin; Kyra and Kelsey. Dear
brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy and
Gord Page, Shelley and Gary Dayman,
Shannon Roche (Smale), Gerben and
Jeanette Wynja, Allen Wynja, Gerda and
Gary Dill, Martin and Mary Wynja, Hilda and
George Ridley, Corrie and Larry Moir, and
Sandra and Troy Hoggart. Special uncle to
many nieces and nephews. Predeceased
by brother Dan Kipfer (2014), sister Lynda
Jane (1999) and husband Cliff Jardine,
brother-in-law Jeen Wynja (1967) and
sister-in-law Frances Wynja (2015). A
private family memorial service will take
place at a later date. Cremation with
interment Bairds Cemetery, Bluewater

GAINES, Earl "Red": Earl Richard Gaines,
age 79, of RR#4 Seaforth passed away
suddenly at home on September 18, 2016.
Beloved husband of Ruby (Storey). Loving
father of Shelly Shearer (Chris), Richard
Knight (Christine), Kim Henry (Kevin),
Cathy Peters (Mark). Grandfather of Sherry
McLaughlin (Jack), Robin McLaughlin
(Dylan), Donny McLaughlin, Noah Knight
and Robert Knight. Predeceased by his
parents John Gaines & Lily (Rose) and
daughter Michelle in infancy. A celebration
of Earl's life will be held on Saturday, Oct 1
2016 at the Seaforth Legion from 1-4 pm.
