The Seaforth Generals had
their home opener this past
weekend, they fought hard,
played physical, but with all
new teams, a felling out pro-
cess must be achieved first.
The first game September
16 saw the Generals going
head-to-head with the Essa
Stallions. They finished their
checks, however the Stal-
lions who had already had a
pile of players compete on
the same team the year
before were just too synchro-
nized offensively. The Stal-
lions beat the Generals in
front of a fairly large crowd
for their first ever -game 7-0.
Then, 48 hours later back
at home, the Generals tied
up their skates and faced the
Grey Highlands Hawks last
Sunday.
In the first period, the
Hawks put one in the first
period of play to give them

"I would say the first
month, the first five games
will be us learning about
each other and working
together as one," stated one
of the owners of the Seaforth
Generals, T.J. Runhart.
He added that the team is
still in their summer bodies
and several people on the
team are just getting used to
their surroundings.
"There are kids from dif-
ferent areas, kids coming
from different backgrounds
and (diverse) ethnics," he
said. "We had a kid play for
us from Great Britain, six
that are First Nations and
three American kids."
