Avery special happy birthday

Turning the big 60 can
come with many surprises,
one wife from the Seaforth
area showed her husband,
Robby Robbs something
extra special on the front
lawn of their home for his
birthday.
"I put out an email to the
neighbourhood and said this
is what I'm doing, if anybody
has any bras that would be
awesome," said Robb's wife,
Rae Mahoney -Robbs Sep-
tember 14.
There was lots of feedback
from the electronic post.
One of Mahoney -Robbs'
friend took the comedic pro-
ject serious and purchased
40 brassieres from the local
thrift shop and through the
initial email 20 other com-
rades joined the birthday
festivity by donating 20
more. Waking up early,
Mahoney -Robbs filled their
yard with 60 of the items and
then plastered the under
garments in a line.
"When you look at it, you
can see where the rope has
gone through the strap of
the bras. I spread them out
so you can see that they are
pretty," stated Mahoney -

Mahoney -Robbs ended
with saying the neighbours
"loved it" and everyone had
a laugh she said.

Seaforth joins the kidney charity trend
Shaun Gregory
Huron Expositor
Reality Executives in
Seaforth followed the char-
ity trend of people fighting
with kidney problems as
they hosted a BBQ to help
out with local Christopher
Pennington.
Last week the Brussels
boy lent a hand to the
Goderich Kidney Walk,
which led to more than $
11,000 in donations.
John Steffler, Tracey Eck-
ert and Brenda Campbell
heard about a previous
BBQ Pennington had done
in Blyth at Scrimgeour's
Food Market.
"I thought `hey, wouldn't
it be nice to help this young
fellow out," stated Campbell
during the BBQ on Sea-
forth's main strip. "He's local
and he's from Brussels."
Scrimgeour's Food Mar-
ket donated 300 hot dogs
and 300 buns as well as the
numerous condiments.
Helping his father with
the BBQ side of the event,
at only 11 -years -old, Pen-
nington was asked why he
does this?
"I just started doing this
because I want to help other
people that have the same
problem," stated Pennington
who has an auto -immune
disorder known as Henoch-
Schonlein Purpura. This is a
condition that causes small
blood vessels to become
inflamed and aggravated. "I
want to raise money so we
can find a cure."
The event raised $1,130
and Campbell said it will
"100 per cent go" to Pen-
nington's charity group
known as Christopher's
Crew.

the Reality Executives in Seaforth. All proceeds go towards the Kidney Foundation.
