It's not everyday that you
hear of a 21 -year-old taking
full ownership of an existing
company.
Alysha Kipfer, from Win-
throp is living proof that this
not -so -common ingenuity is
possible.
After hearing Madica Tan
Lines in Seaforth was up for
sale she went with her gut
feeling.
"My mom kind of joked
about me buying it, I was
like, yeah right good
one mom," Kipfer said at
her open house where the
public had the chance to
meet the new tanning
salon's owner September
1. "I thought about it
and started looking into
it."
Seeing as the local from
just up the road has been
working at the establish-
ment for the last three to
four years, she decided to
move forward with her
mind -set.
After a lot of phone calls
and transferring, it was offi-
cial and on August 22 Kipfer
was the businesses new
owner.
Kipfer said at the moment
everything will stay the same
including the name, phone
number and types of ser-
vices available for
customers.
Given the fact, that she is
the owner, people have
asked if there will be new ini-
tiatives like false eyelashes or
flip flops.
"For now, I'm going to see
how it goes and go from
there," she said.
