Toy and Craft Show
still a hit in its 30th year
CONTINUED FROM > PAGE 14
From the Saturday until Sunday, the
show nods roughly 1500-2000 people,
looking up and down the stands, which
are a better part to do with agriculture
and other nifty gifts.
With 98 tables filling up the room,
Haney stated there isn't much room left
for additional vendors, admitting to
having to turn down six others due to
the lack of breathing space left in the
building. "I (wish) I had room for them,
but I can't hang their tables from the
ceiling."
Knowing how popular it is for mer-
chants, it's a first come, first serve basis,
he said.
"The people that always come, they
always have their money on my door
step, soon as we put the word out,"
Haney commented.
"If you snooze you lose."
For a small payment of $5 for an
entrance fee, every dollar counts, con-
sidering that the SAS, uses all the
money to fund the Fall Fair, Hydro to
the building, maintenance and other
chores to keep the organization a oat.
"We can't go to the taxpayers at the
end of the day and say 'hey we're shy
$10,000 to run the facility, it has to be
generated from this building," ended
Haney.
Shaun Gregory
Rod and Karyn Liddle said they've been coming to Seaforth's Toy and Craft Show for ten
years. "We just love showing off at the show," said Rod.

John and Gerry Benninger have been making an appearance at the Toy and Craft Show for the last 29 years.
They also started the Formosa Farm Toy Show and Sale and they've been dedicated to that initiative for the last
28 years but recently passed the responsibilities down.
The International Plowing Match Souvenir Committee was on hand promoting their event that's expected to
attract roughly 100,000 people next year in Walton Ont.
