Toy and Craft Show still a hit in its 30th year

It's been three decades -a cou-
ple different names and the leg-
acy of the Toy and Craft Show is
booming as ever.
In the long stretch of time, in the
early years the two-day event con-
centrated on quilts and antiques,
and once, Lyle Haney; president of
the Seaforth Agricultural Society
recalls it being more of a collecta-
ble show.
"Maybe they thought it would
generate more people I don't
know," said Haney after making
his way around the show barn,
Information Session On
Wind Turbine Investigation
Residents of Huron County are invited to an information session hosted
by the Huron County Health Unit. The session is about the upcoming
investigation related to reported human health concerns associated with
residential proximity to industrial wind turbines. There will be information
on the investigation survey, and time for residents' questions.

Now in its 30th year to date of
providing the community with an
early head start on Christmas,
Haney said although there might
have been some campaigns to lure
in a larger crowd in the earlier
years -at this present time that's not
really a necessity.
