St. Nick's Christmas Shopping Day for Children is just around the corner
Dear Editor:
On Saturday, December 3
from 9 am -noon St. Thomas'
Anglican Church in Seaforth
will once again be alive with
the sound of happy and excited
children! St. Nick's Christmas
Shopping Day for Children
invites all kids ages 3-13 to
shop for their family members
by giving a free-will donation
at the door. Children, in turn,
are assisted by our helpful
elves to choose and wrap up to
6 gifts each from our great
selection of donated items,
while their parents wait,
enjoying refreshments and
checking out the silent auction
table. All proceeds of this day
are given back to the commu-
nity to support local children's
events and programs. Last
year's proceeds of $2,400. pro-
vided free skating sessions at
both Seaforth & Clinton are-
nas, free swimming at Vanastra
Rec Centre, and supported ele-
mentary school and library
programs in Seaforth and Clin-
ton. We rely on and appreciate
our generous community -
merchants, church congrega-
tions, and individuals- to make
this event a great success! Now
in our 1 lth year, we also value
the excellent press coverage
and photos of this event pro-
vided through the years by the
Seaforth Expositor.
Small gift items or monetary
tax- receiptable donations are
graciously welcomed and can be
dropped off at the church's John
Street entrance, on Friday
November 25th from 10 am -1
pm. Our Gift Assembly Day will
be held Saturday, November 26
from 10 am to 2 pm. We invite
helpers from the community
including Students who are
earning volunteer hours. Please
call 519-522-1435 to volunteer,
Thank you for your support during Remembrance Day
To Seaforth and area residents
and businesses.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who
supported our Annual Remem-
brance Day celebration.
Special thanks to:
All our businesses who deco-
rated their store windows.
All who purchased and pre-
sented wreaths this year (a total
of 98!).
All who contributed to our
Poppy Boxes around the
community, and to those who
responded to our "Mail Out"
campaign. Your generosity was
outstanding.
The teachers and children
from our schools who joined
us at the Cenotaph again this
year. You have no idea how
much your presence means to
us.
The Brussels Cadets who
stood guard at the Cenotaph.
Your presence and respect is
appreciated.

And finally to our Veterans,

Thank you to all the 'St. Nick's

faithfully sharing their time, tal-
ent and treasure to provide a fun
event for kids, a memorable
