Highway 8, also known as Goder-
ich Street in Seaforth, is where the
traffic accumulates the most. With a
limited amount of streets, the com-
mon traveler passes through the
town in a matter of minutes.
For these particular people, a vis-
ually <colourful> strategy is in place,
one that>s expected to lure the visi-
tors to stay a little bit longer.
In a partnership with the Huron
East/Seaforth Community Devel-
opment Trust and the municipal-
ity, an array of 16 specially
designed banners was installed
May 12.
All within the town's limits,
each image is showcased on
numerous light posts, primarily
focusing on the historic land-
marks and what exactly Seaforth
as a rural civic has to offer. This is
the second series of banners that
has been installed. The last
project, which was a vanguard of
Jan Hawley, Huron East>s eco-
nomic development officer, began
back in 2010. The marketing and
community project ended up win-
ning a national award for their
inventiveness.
