Hurricanes Swim to personal best times at team championships in Markham
The Huron Hurricanes trav-
elled to Markham with 21 rep-
resentatives at the end of April
to compete against more than
30 other small teams from all
over Ontario. This three-day
major competition led to
many personal best times and
some amazingly fast racing
from all Hurricanes in attend-
ance. Congratulations to all
the swimmers who tried new
events this past weekend, and
to Emma Bernier, Maddie
Ivatts, Noah Middleton, Emily
Pokrywka-Kovacs and Anna
Trick for passing milestones
and beating their personal
best times over the weekend.
Emma Bernier had some
impressive personal best
times in all five of her races.
For the relay, she took off a
total of 31 seconds and
earned the "gnome of the
meet; as voted by her peers.
Both Maddie Ivatts and
Natalie VanNiejenhuis fin-

racing from all relay team

the Hurricanes placed 21st.
Investing in new and better ways for all
Ontarians to get the care they need means:
• 700 new doctors and specialists
• 35 hospitals currently being
renewed, modernized or expanded
• $250 million invested in home and
community care
• $345 million invested to improve wait
times and access to care
These investments ensure a strong health
