a National Geographic scene
where a cheetah hunts down
a gazelle the way the kids
raced to the candy during
the BIA's second annual
Community Easter Egg
Hunt.
To the side in the moist
grass at the Seaforth District
Community Centre, hun-
dreds of youngsters lined up
patiently, waiting for their
cue to attack. Eggs and all
sorts of chocolates tempted
the youth. They may not

have been achieving speeds
of 100 km as the spotted cats
are capable of, but as soon as
the buzzer went off, it sure
seemed like they were.
"We had 3000 pieces of
candy gone in less than five
minutes," stated BIA chair-
woman, Melody Hodgson.
"It was aggressive."
The event began at 9 a.m.
with some pancakes cooked
up by the Huron East Cente-
naires executives and ex-
Centenaires (men's league).
After breakfast Papa's Barn-
yard brought some farm ani-
mals for everyone to enjoy,
free of charge which was fol-
lowed by a balance bike
course and beanbag toss.
Inconspicuously, Seaforth
Coun. Bob Fisher blended in
with a large white Easter
Bunny suit.
"It's fun. I remember hav-
ing Easter egg hunts when I
was little. The thought of not
having one in town, it's not
what we wanted to see hap-
pen," Melody said.
"It's just a great commu-
nity event."
