For Exeter Seaforth Ringette this is the first time to have a AA level team Represent their Local area. In preparation for the event, Exeter Sea - forth hosted London for the Western Ontario Ringette League Games on both Saturday and Sun- day, winning the first 3-2 and tying Sunday 4-4. In Saturday's game London challenged the locals from the first whistle. The teams played an aggres- sive end-to-end fast pace game. Amanda Hodgert found Rachelle Keys alone on the right corner for the first goal of the game, 15 minutes in. Amanda Ver- beke doubled the score on a nice pass from Maddie Cormier to finish the halves scoring at two. London jumped out quickly in the second half and cashed in early to come within one, but Hodgert responded a minute later with a laser, on a Keys pass to regain the two goal lead. London came within one with ten minutes to go, but Exeter Seaforth's defense were able to kill off some late penalty issues to win 3-2. Sunday's game was full of action, London started the scoring a minute and half in. The Explosion's goal - tender Kendra Nesbitt did a great job to hold the team in the game as the locals played a little scrambled for short period of time, but on a two player advantage Keys found the net with a bullet shot on a passing relay from Verbeke and Hodgert to even the score. Exeter Seaforth regained their confidence and Cormier netted a Keys and Alyssa Vanderkuylen pass to take the lead with seven min- utes to play in the first. London answered back with two quick goals to take the lead 3-2 as the first half finished. London defended their lead and added one early in the second with fast and physical play. The locals mounted the attack and Hodgert got one over the goalie from her knees to come within one. A minute later Van- derkuylen found mesh with Natalie Reay assisting to tie the score at four.
