OPP requests the
community's help in
two recent crimes
Huron County Crime Stoppers
and the Huron County OPP are ask-
ing for the community's assistance in
solving the following mischief occur-
rence. Sometime in the late hours
from February 18-19, unknown sus-
pects spray -painted graphic images
and phrases on the side of a house
located on Nelson Street in Hensall.
This crime was committed using red
spray -paint and caused the occupant
a lot of time and effort to clean the
site.
Also, Huron County Crime Stop-
pers and the Huron County OPP are
seeking the public's help in solving
the following theft occurrence. In the
early hours of February 8, a car went
into the ditch on Kippen Road in
Huron East. The owners decided to
leave it there until the morning.
However, sometime overnight,
unknown assailants attended and
smashed a window out of the vehicle
and stole a bag containing competi-
tive ice skating equipment.
If you have any information
regarding this crime or any other
crime, call Crime Stoppers at 1 -800-
222 -TIPS or submit a webtip online
at www.hc-cs.ca. You will never have
to give your name or go to court and
you maybe eligible for a cash reward
of up to $2000.

they cut a hole in the fence and
damaged a large diesel generator
before stealing a battery charger. If

60km/h over

Clocked in at 60km/h over the
speed limit, a man from Seaforth
has been charged with racing fol-
lowing a traffic stop that took place
last week.
In the early hours of the morning
just before 6:00 a.m. on February
18, a Huron County OPP officer
spotted a Pontiac G5 speeding
eastbound on Huron Road (High-
way #8) through the village of St.
Columban.
The officer established visual
observations that the vehicle was
speeding by using a radar device.
The speed of the vehicle was meas-
ured at a high of 130 km/h in a
posted 70km/h zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and
the driver was subsequently
charged.
