Love You Always, Ken & Family Obituaries Obituaries BETTY HARLEY Betty Lorraine Harley, B.A. (nee Butt) wife of the late Ernest C. Harley, of Brantford, Ontario, passed peacefully at her daughter's home in Ottawa, Ontario on December 14, 2016. Outstanding mother to Robert (Bob) and his wife Kimberly, Catherine (Cathy) and her husband Gordon and James (Jim) and his wife Tracey. Cherished Nana to Johnathan Harley, Julia Harris (Alex), Sarah Harley, Matthew Harley, Patrick Redwood, Kathryn Redwood, Gareth Redwood, Courtney Harley, Sam Faulkner, and Cole Faulkner. Great grandmother to Anika Flemming, Isaiah Harley and London Harley. Sister to the late Bill Butt and dear sister-in-law to Mary Butt. Devoted aunt to Michael Butt (Kim) and Karyn Butt. Great aunt to Kassidy Butt. Graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in History and completed teacher's college at the Ontario Institute for Education (OISE). She was also a formally trained high school Guidance Counselor. Born in Vineland, Ontario and raised in various Ontario towns as the daughter of the late Reverend WS Butt, a United Church minister and his wife Sadie, she excelled at academics and served as a high school teacher at Mitchell District High School for more than 30 years. She is the former President of the United Church Women (UCW) at St. Andrews United Church in Brantford, and was committed to supporting many United Church projects over the years. She volunteered countless hours to assist her late husband Ernest C. Harley with the Mitchell Music Festival and also sang in the senior choir at Main Street United church in Mitchell. She had a passion for her family cottage on Lake of Bays where she spent most summers with her family. Visitations will be held at McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Rd N, Brantford, ON N3R 7K8, on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 at 11 am, at St Andrews United Church, 95 Darling St, Brantford, ON N3T 2K7 where Betty was an active member. Born in McKillop Township on January 24th, 1920, Helen was in her 97th year. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Leslie Williamson (June 18th, 1971). Cherished mother of Eileen (David) Morrison, Wayne (Linda) Williamson, Eric (Jackie) Williamson, Lois (Chris) Hodgson and daughters in law Doris Williamson and Lois Williamson. Dear sister of Bruce and Ross. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Morrison Clarke, Christina Morrison Kuepfer, Brian Morrison, Brandi Williamson Wilson, Hope Megan Williamson, Patricia Williamson Shanshanhani, Sharon Williamson Forbes, Leslie Williamson, Danny Williamson, Gary Williamson, Brian Williamson, and Nicole Hodgson. Loving great grandmother of Dylan, Jonathon and Logan Clarke; Leah and Alex Kuepfer; Evan Morrison; Samantha Wilson; Alexandria and Nicholas Shanshanhani; Henry and Ruby Forbes; Danielle and Jade Williamson; Jonathan, Tamara, Tyler and Dylan Williamson; and Ashley, Brianna, Brandon, Victoria, Kaitlyn and Jacob Williamson, and loving great great grandmother to Tarrah and Maddison Raithby and Leland Roth. Predeceased by her parents Lorne Havelock Elliott and Mary Emily Barron, her son Neil Elliott Williamson, grandson Carl Herbert Williamson, brothers Gordon (Sarah), Lorne, Roy (Gertrude) and a brother in infancy. She was a former member of the Walton Women's Institute, the UCW of Duff's United Church, and worked in the kitchen of the Seaforth Community Hospital until her retirement. Friends were received by the family from 11:30 AM till the time of the funeral service being conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 6th at the SCHIMANSKI FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Brussels, officiated by Reverend Randy Banks. Interment in Brussels Cemetery this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Salvation Army Listowel Citadel or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
