(CENTRAL HURON, Ont.) —
Another driver will be heading
to court to face a Racing charge
come this September after she
was stopped by police last week.
Just after 7:30 a.m. on August
11, 2016 a Huron County Ontario
Provincial Police (OPP) spotted a
Ford Fusion racing through the
village of Kinburn. The inves-
tigating officer watched as the
Fusion travelled northbound on
Kinburn Line at an extremely
high rate of speed. A speed
measurement was taken with a
RADAR device and the speed of
the Fusion was locked at a 131
km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
The officer initiated a traffic stop
and the vehicle was pulled over.
The driver, 44 years of age, from
Central Huron has been charged
with Racing. She wit have
to attend Provincial Offences
court on September 20, 2016
to answer to her charge. Her
licence has been suspended for
seven days and her motor vehi-
cle will impounded for a week.
Van still missing
(BLUEWATER, Ont.) — Huron
County OPP officers continue
to investigate the overnight
theft of a blue Dodge Caravan
that was stolen from a King
Street property in Hensall.
Investigators believe the mini -van
was stolen sometime between
6:30 p.m. on August 3, 2016 and
6:45 a.m. on August 4, 2016.
The van had been left unlocked.
The stolen mini -van is
described as a blue,
2003 Dodge Caravan
with a rusty bottom.
The van is valued at an
estimated $2,800.

• Always park your vehi-
cle in a well -lit area.
• If you have a garage, use
it and lock the garage door
as well as your vehicle.

unattended while it is running
• Never leave valuable objects
or packages in full view
• Always roll up your
vehicle's windows
• Watch out for suspicious
people or activity in your neigh-
bourhood. Call police immedi-
ately, don't delay; your informa-
tion may help solve a crime.
Thieves desert
stolen truck
(MORRIS-TURNBERRY,
Ont.) — Huron County OPP
officers including members
from the Property Crimes
Unit are currently investigat-
ing the theft of a Ford crew
cab that was stolen from an
Amberley Road property.
The truck was stolen overnight
this past weekend sometime
between 8:00 p.m. on August 12,
2016 and 9:00 a.m. the follow-
ing morning. Sometime during
this time period the thief entered
onto the farm property and
located the crew cab that was
parked behind the residence.
The vehicle had been left inse-
cure with the ignition key inside.
The thief started up the vehicle
and left without being detected.
The stolen truck is described as a
grey, 2011, Ford F-150 crew cab
with some damage to the tailgate.
At this time a dollar value has not
been determined for the truck.
Please take a split second and
secure your vehicle when it's left
unattended and never leave your
ignition key in an unattended
vehicle. By following these two
simple suggestions your chances
of become a victim have greatly
diminished. Please help us
prevent crime in your neigh-
bourhood by doing your part.
Swimmer
pronounced
dead at hospital
(LAMBTON, ON) — On August
18, 2016 at just before 8:00
p.m., the Lambton County
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)
was dispatched to Grand Bend
Beach, Grand Bend, ON regard-
ing a male party who was just
pulled from the waters of Lake
Huron. The male was reportedly
unconscious and unresponsive.
Lambton OPP along with
Lambton County Emergency
Medical Service (EMS) and
Grand Bend Fire Depart-
ment responded to the loca-
tion. Upon arrival, emergency
responders located an elderly
male who was unconscious
and unresponsive on the
beach where good Samari-
tans were performing CPR.
The male party was imme-
diately transported orted to hos-
pital by EMS. Efforts were
made to revive the male
however the male was pro-
nounced dead at the hospital.
The name of the male party
is being withheld pend-
ing notification to family.
A post mortem is sched-
uled for August 19th, 2016 to
determine the cause of death.
