That activity is frisbee golf, a game which is quickly gaining pop- ularity across North America. The course will include at least 9 "holes", though those holes are actually a pole with a basket made of metal and chains. Instead of hitting a golf ball, the player throws a frisbee at each basket. The course is being installed by the Clinton Lions Club at the Ausable Bayfield Conserva- tion Authority's park which the Lions maintain on High- way 4 just passed the bridge. Currently, the closest course is at Camp Kintail, which is 20 minutes north of Goderich. Each player must bring their own set of frisbees to play at this course, but the sport is not played with any old frisbee; it is played with a smaller, heavier frisbee which is specific to the sport. However they are not expen- sive and last for many years. They can be purchased at specialty stores in London, online and in other places. The cost for using the course itself is by a freewill donation. The Lions will also be selling inexpensive year- long memberships. Each hole will cost the Lions around $350 to install, and they are looking for businesses or families to sponsor holes. In exchange, the sponsor will have their business or family name inscribed on the respective equipment. The Lions are hoping this addition to the parkwill help increase its popularity and provide a fun family activity for the people of Clinton and the surrounding area Seaforth Manor opens doors to hide from the heat Shaun Gregory Huron Expositor With all the significant heat warnings issued by Environ- ment Canada lately, the Sea - forth Manor Nursing & Retire- ment Home are opening their doors for any locals to take a break from the extremely warm temperatures. According to theweather- networkcom for the next two weeks, temperatures are expected to reach high 20s and low 30s. Stacey Kamerman, the pro- gram service manager at SMNRH said to the best of her knowledge this is the first time the organization has offered this service. It's something that makes sense, she said since Seaforth and the area are dealing with the hottest weather forecast in the last couple of years. "It's because the heat wave we've been having, we thought it would be nice to Because you love MedicAlert®.The bracelet with an emergency hotline linked to your child's medical record Call 1-866-734-9425 or visit www.medicalert.ca use the Seaforth Manor as a place that people can come from the area to get out of the heat, if they don't have air conditioning," Kamer - man said in a phone conver- sation August 10. "Obliviously the heat affects seniors in our com- munity and that's what we deal with." Kamerman also said this is not just for seniors any per- son no matter what their age is welcomed. "It can affect older people more sometimes, depending on what illnesses they have or what medications they are on," she said. "Some people feel it more than others. Not necessarily if you're a senior or not" If anybody is feeling too hot from the weather go to the Seaforth Manor at 100 James St. Soon as you arrive, go to the administrative office and someone will guide you where to sit St. Columban Cemetery 1867-2016 CEMETERY SUNDAY August 28, 2016 Mass at the cemetery -2:00 p.m. Officiating- Father Raju Allumpurath, MST WELCOME EVERYONE Please bring lawnchairs Rain: St. James R.C.
