Dear husband of Christiane Hoste (nee De Windt) for almost 60 years. Loving father of Anne Marie and David Smith, Ingrid and Paul Aucoin, Myriam and Mark Donaldson, Piet and Debbie -Lynn Hoste and Paul and Cherry Hoste. Cherished Opa of Carlie and Marc Flynn, Adam and Martine Smith, Thomas Smith, Emily Donaldson, Ian Donaldson, Alexis Hoste, Ty Hoste, Olivia Hoste, Owen Hoste, Evan Hoste, and great-grandfather of Isabelle and Juliette and Georgia and Callum. Herman will also be remembered fondly by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews of the Hoste and De Windt families. Friends and family were received at the McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, August 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers at 6:45 p.m.). Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, led by Fr. Raju Allumpurath, was held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Monday, August 8, at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at St. James Catholic Cemetery and a reception was held at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156. If desired, memorial donations to St. James Catholic Church or the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
