Love your family Obituaries Obituaries BROWN, Jane "Jean" - It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our Mother on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in her 90th year with family by her side at the Ritz Lutheran Villa in Mitchell. Jean was born on Friday, July 30, 1926, in Stenhousemuir, Stirlingshire, Scotland, and was the daughter of the late Laurence and Margaret (nee Anderson) Gilfillan. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Brown, (Oct. 17, 2000). Loving mother of John (Lee), David (Charlene), Glenna Prince (Don McDonald), Elizabeth Fleming (Ernie), Catherine Kelman (Jim), Dianne McFadzean (John), Heather Bennewies (Warren), Jim (Sandy), Andrew (Janet) and Robbie (Jody). Cherished Granny of 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Also missed by her sister Ivy Stark, brothers Alex (May) and Jim, all of Falkirk, Scotland, and by her brother-in-law Roy (Ellie). Predeceased by grandson Travis Brown (2014), son-in-law Tom Prince, brothers John and Laurence, sisters Margaret and Anne (Nan), and siblings -in-law, Jimmy Grant, John Stark, Anne Gilfillan, Edith Kennedy, Amelia Long, Jim Brown (in infancy), John Brown, Joe Brown and Andy Brown. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, April 22, 2016, from 7-9 p.m., where visitation continued on Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 1 p.m. until the time of Jean's funeral service to celebrate her life at 3 p.m. Rev. Nick Vandermey officiated. A reception followed at the Dublin Community Centre and interment to take place at Maitlandbank Cemetery, later in the spring. Beloved husband of the late Norma -Jean (nee Rice) for more than 36 years. Loving father of L. Yvonne Nyenhuis (Tom) of Stratford, Cara C. Van Massenhoven (Bill) of St. Marys and James `Jim' P. Cluff (Kristina) of Gatineau, Quebec. Cherished Grandfather of Kurt, Nicole, Rebecca, Micheal, Lexi, James, and Great -Grandpa of Xavier, Jayven and a baby girl to be born. Also survived by his sisters Frances Myers (Jim), Ruth Thom (the late JT), sisters-in-law Peggi and Lucy, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents James and Alberta (nee Cole), and brothers Robert and Peter. Cremation has taken place and memorial visitation will be held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 11 a.m. until the time of Pat's memorial service at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at Egmondville United Church and interment will take place at the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock, at a later date.
