Working with various stakeholders (i.e. Council, BIA, community groups, local businesses, Huron County and neighbouring communities) this position will identify needs, develop a brand, and help shape our marketing and communications strategies to foster investment and sustainable growth in our region for the foreseeable future. As a resource for the Business Improvement Association, this position will work closely with the BIA's steering committee to organize and direct their various annual events as well as administer their social media and advertising needs. Qualifications: Suitable academic accreditation (Post -Secondary Minimum) and experience in community initiatives are essential. A confident, highly organized self-starter combined with a strong vision, passion, and ability to build partnerships, identify needs, and support business and investment confidence are critically important to the success of this position. Event planning, graphic design, marketing and website maintenance experience are beneficial. Experience developing community partnerships, working with provincial and federal funding agencies and writing funding proposals would be an asset. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills. G license is a requirement.
